Wellness holiday house with modern comfort, a terrace, a grill and play area, in a holiday park in the Waldhessen region, with a wide range of hiking and leisure options for singles, couples and families

This house fully renovated in 2015 exudes a sense of well-being and lies in a holiday park with around 150 houses in the beautiful Waldhessen region, between the towns of Fulda, Kassel and Erfurt and the Fulda and Werra Rivers. Most of the house are used by the owners themselves as weekend houses. Machtlos itself is a recognised recreational area right by several waymarked hiking and cycling trails. It is an ideal starting point for singles, couples or the whole family for a beautiful holiday with a great range of hiking and recreational activities.

The house provides an ample 85m² of living space for up to four people. It has two floors connected by wooden stairs. Owing to the integration of skylights, it has optimal lighting conditions. When designing the rooms, the owners followed the motto “arrive, enjoy and feel good”, playing with plenty of solid wood and the colours green and turquoise in various colour tones. Everything is in harmony and the amenities and furnishing leave nothing to be desired. The hallway on the ground floor forms a beautiful entrance area with plenty of storage space for shoes and coats. The stairs to the upper floor are secured with a safety gate. The daylight bathroom is fitted with a shower with a glass door, a WC, a modern washbasin and large wall cupboard with a mirror, a hairdryer, a makeup mirror and a towel radiator. Hand and shower towels and bathrobes are provided free of charge. The living room has a cosy sitting corner with a pull-out sofa, an armchair and a table. Modern entertainment electronics includes a large flatscreen TV with satellite channels, a DVD/CD player and a games console. The dining room has a lovely big table with four chairs. Dressers provide ample storage space. All the furniture is made of solid wood. The kitchen is well-equipped with a fridge and separate freezer compartment, an electric stove with a ceramic hob, a dishwasher, a microwave, a coffee machine, a capsule coffee machine (Tchibo), an egg boiler, a bread machine, a waffle maker, a kettle, mixer, electric grill, raclette set and crockery for 12 people. The ground floor is laid with beautiful tiles, with rugs under the seating. The upper floor comprises the two bedrooms and a further toilet. The first bedroom is furnished with a box spring bed (180 x 200cm), modern dressers, a wardrobe and a ceiling fan. The second bedroom has two single beds (80 x 200cm) that can also be joined together as a double bed, a built-in cupboard and a dresser. Both bedroom windows are fitted with fly screens. The flooring is laminate.

The terrace is accessed through the living and dining room. Its 30m² provides ample space for a cosy wooden seating group, deckchairs and a large parasol. The terrace is fully enclosed, so children or your dog can play there without your worrying. There is also a grill. You can park right next to the house, but also in a shaded place about 50 metres away.

Both houses can be booked either individually or together and are therefore ideal for a holiday with friends or with grandparents. Dogs are welcome in both houses. Between the houses, which are enclosed and accessed from the terrace, there is a lovely sandpit and a further seating group with parasols and a grill area. You can also use the bread rolls delivery service to your doorstep in the mornings. As the local Internet connection is not very good, the owners offer their guests a stable Internet service via satellite. Each holiday house also has a mainline connection with its own number, as mobile reception is poor.

6km from the house there is an Edeka supermarket and a bakery. A swimming pool and a sauna belonging to the holiday park are about 150 metres away. As a holiday guest you can use the pool and the sauna for a fee (to be paid to the administration). You can play table tennis at the playground 100 metres away. Bats and balls are available for use free of charge. Other leisure activities include a canoe or raft ride on the Fulda or Werra. A well-developed hiking and cycling network awaits you. It is also fun to visit the Wartburg in Eisenach or the towns Bad Hersfeld and Rotenburg. There is something for everyone, so there will not be a dull moment.
