The villas lie above Lake Kournas on the north end of Chania prefecture, almost in the middle between Chania (40 km to the east) and Rethymno (30 km to the west). From Kournas you can easily get to the highway (1000 m) and visit Chania, the Omalos plateau, the Samaria Gorge (79 km), Fragokastelo and other places in Chania prefecture, or drive west and visit Rethymno with the impressive castle or Heraklion and Knossos (105 km), an important town in the antiquity.There are daily departures from Piraeus to the port of Souda, only 45 km form the lake.
