The village is on the A9 road and has a railway station on the Far North Line. The following description is a first draft, which is still awaiting revision. Please contact our Customer Service if it contains any gaps.

Only one hundred yards from the beach and thirty yards from the 12th tee of Brora Golf Course, these two cottages can accommodate six people in each - or up to 12, if taken together.

Residents can pay for a Swim Lunch and enjoy the Leisure Club at The Royal Marine Hotel in Brora whilst appreciating the hotel's restaurants and café/bar.

The holiday houses are positioned a few minutes away from the centre of the village by car and offer a central base for touring the Highlands. The Royal Burgh of Dornoch is only 15 miles away and Golspie six. Day trips to Ullapool, John O’Groats and Orkney may also be on your to do list and golfing itineraries taking in Royal Dornoch, Tain, Golspie and Brora Golf Clubs are popular.

Brora is a small but beautiful Highland village equipped with all you’d need to really make your holiday, including a golf course frequented by Open Champion winners such as Peter Thompson and Paul Lawrie, The local working distillery produces both a Brora and a Clynelish malt whisky and both are internationally renowned. There is also a world-famous ice-cream shop – Capaldi’s.

A small industrial village having at one time a coal pit, boat building, fishing, salt mining, fish curing, lemonade factory, Clynelish Single Malt distillery, wool mill, bricks and a stone quarry. Stone from the quarry was used in the construction of London Bridge, Liverpool Cathedral and Dunrobin Castle. The coalmine was the farthest north coalmine in the UK. A Government Radio Receiving Station was in operation between 1940 and 1986. First town in North of Scotland to have electricity thanks to its wool industry. This distinction gave rise to the local nickname of 'Electric City' at the time. Local football club Brora Rangers was founded in 1879 and moved to present stadium, Dudgeon Park, in 1922.

And of course there’s the usual array of local shops including a pharmacy, newsagent and grocers.

Dalchalm is nestled just outside the village centre with easy and picturesque walks right on your doorstep. The well-lit and quiet streets mean it’s only the waves crashing that might keep you awake at night.

The holiday houses sit on the 12th Tee of the World Famous James Braid Brora Golf club. Great Family home for family and golfing holidays.

Home to Capaldi's Ice Cream shop, once famous throughout the Highlands for some of the finest ice cream in Scotland.
