Barrier-free holiday in a four-star holiday house, on the edge of the European metropolis Strasbourg


The four-star holiday house (71m²) is on the outskirts of Kehl-Marlen, on the edge of a recreational area about 1km from the Rhine. The Alsace metropolis Strasbourg is a few minutes away by car.

The barrier-free holiday house is at ground level. All the rooms have doors 1 metre wide, without thresholds, and are tiled. Insect screens and underfloor heating, which can be regulated separately with a thermostat, are installed in all rooms. The living and dining room has floor-to-ceiling windows (triple-glazed) that allow plenty of light in and an unobstructed view out onto the well-tended garden. The hallway has a wardrobe, a mirror and a dresser. The spacious bathroom is fitted with a WC for the disable with a handle, a urinal, a large shower (120 x 120cm) with a glass screen and a washbasin that a wheelchair can fit under, with a wall cupboard and mirror. A hairdryer and makeup mirror are provided. The bedroom is furnished with box spring beds 90cm wide, a spacious wardrobe, a clothes stand, a large wall mirror and satellite TV. The kitchen unit is equipped with an oven and ceramic hob, an extractor fan, a dishwasher, a fridge with a freezer compartment, a pads coffee machine, a kettle, mixer, toaster and microwave. Tea towels, crockery, cutlery and cleaning products are provided. The living and dining room has a lovely wooden table, four black leather chairs, a new suite with a coffee table, a TV board, a stereo system, satellite TV, a modern floor lamp, a safe, books and board games. The adjoining lockable utility room is equipped with a washing machine, dryer, vacuum cleaner, iron and clothes stand and also has space for bicycles. The house has a spyhole on the door, an intercom, electric blinds, an electric awning and wireless Internet access.

Right in front of the entrance there is a carport for your own exclusive use and behind the house on the garden site there is a wooden terrace, furnished with a table and two chairs. An awning and a parasol are also provided. The terrace is enclosed by a low evergreen hedge. To the right and left of it there are flower beds.

The owner lives in an annex. The house was classified as four-star in 2019 by the German Tourism Association (DTV).

Since the beginning of October 2019, an e-charging station with charging cable is available on site. It is located directly at the house and has a type 2 charging socket (three-phase). The billing is based on consumption. When claiming the charging station a deposit is payable.

The “Mimram Bridge” by the Rhine promenade in Kehl, a pedestrian and cyclist bridge, connects Germany and France. Cars can cross the Rhine across the “Europabrücke” near Kehl and across the “Pflimlin-Brücke” near Altenheim. Right behind the house there is a cycling and pedestrian path for excursions in the area. The Rust leisure park is about 35 minutes away by car. The nearest shopping centre with an ATM is 500 metres away and there is a pharmacy right around the corner. It is 100 metres to the nearest restaurant, 500 metres to a natural pool, 1km to the Rhine and 1km to a hiking trail. A cycle path starts right behind the house. There is a tennis court in the locality and it is 10km to a golf course and a motorway. Other trip destinations include Europapark Rust (35km), the Vogtsbauernhöfe Gutach (40km), the Gengenbach old town (25km), the Kurhaus and the horse-racing track in Baden-Baden, the Weber house exhibition in Linx (10km), the Rhine promenade in Kehl and Strasbourg (8km).
