Welcome to our Polly holiday house, a country house fully renovated in 2017 in the North Sea spa town Dornum-Dornumersiel, right by the Niedersächsisches Wattenmeer (tidal flats) national park, a world natural heritage site since 2009. The house is on a small side street without through traffic and has ideal connections in all directions, by car or by bike.
The 840m² garden with its two wooden terraces invites you to relax. One terrace is accessed directly from the kitchen, the other from the living room. It also has a little grill area. There is a large lawn. You can park three cars right by the house and there are additional parking spaces in front of the house. Bicycles can be kept in the garage.
Dornum invites you to go for a relaxing stroll through the historical centre, where you can find centuries-old East Frisian history and a great cultural and tourist programme. Apart from the Wasserschloss and the remains of Westerburg, the magnificent church with the Holy Organ, the Bockwindmühle, the Oma Freese Huus and the synagogue with the Jewish cemetery, Dornum is distinctively characterised by many historical buildings and natural monuments. Little shops invite you to browse. Enjoy a leisurely holiday and look forward to a pleasant stay in Dornum. It is about 4km from the house to Dornumersiel. A very well-signposted cycle path network takes you practically everywhere. It is about 1000 metres to the historical centre with an Aldi, Netto an Edeka market, as well as two bakeries. Here you can find the historical castle, the Bockwindmühle from 1628, the Wasserschloss and the historical church.
