Baabe is located on an isthmus in the biosphere reserve, a UNESCO protected zone for rare shore and beach vegetation. Due to its location, Baabe combines all landscape forms that occur on Rügen. There are deciduous and coniferous forests, the hilly Bodden landscape and, of course, the Baltic Sea coast.

The 'promenade' of Baabe is without a doubt the Strandstraße. In the cozy cafes and restaurants, you can switch off from everyday stress and browse in the stores for vacation memories.
