Austernperle house in Sehestedt – a relaxing holiday with your dog
The quietly situated, fenced 500m² site partly covered by bushes is on a residential street and has a lawn for playing, ideal also for dogs to run around. The Austernperle holiday house is next to the second house Austernhaus in the quiet Sehestedt holiday village at the southern Jadebusen, very close to the Sehestedt beach and the “Schwimmendes Moor” nature reserve which is unique in Europe.
Right by the house there is a carport for a car and a south-facing terrace. You can enjoy the day here from breakfast until late into the evening. The fenced outdoor area includes a terrace shielded from views in with a little garden where children or the dog can play while you enjoy the sun.
Experience a holiday with an atmosphere of well-being in a house with exposed wooden ceiling beams (ceiling height up to 3.6 metres), a living room flooded with daylight through the big panoramic windows facing south-east, affording an open view of the adjacent meadow. It is equipped with satellite TV, a DVD player and a Dolby surround sound system. Insulating blinds provide sun protection. Free Wi-Fi is available. Cooking will be enjoyable on holiday in the very well-equipped kitchen-diner to the side, with a dishwasher, ceramic hob, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, egg boiler, toaster, combined coffee and pads machine, mixer, scales, juicer. On cooler days, the gas central heating provides pleasant warmth and the fireplace stove exudes a cosy atmosphere. The floor throughout the house is tiled or laminate. The windows are all fitted with insect screens, including the balcony door. The solid brick house consists of a living room with an adjoining open kitchen and access to the terrace, a bedroom with a double bed, bedside tables and a spacious wardrobe, a children’s room under the gallery with three single beds (the third bed is accessed up a wooden ladder in the gallery, where there is enough space to play), a hallway, a shower room with a WC and a little storage space. A changing table, highchair and travel bed without bed linen are available free of charge. The shower room with a shower, washbasin and WC provides plenty of towels, a hairdryer and has a window.
You can go on walks or inline skating right from the house, or on extensive walks on the embankment and by the sea along the Moorweg, very beautiful whether the tide is in or out. You can also cycle through meadows, along the embankment and into town. Trips to the East Frisian islands, the Butjadinger Land or the towns between Wilhelmshaven and Bremerhaven are always worth it. Recommended trips include the tidal flats. The Niedersächsisches Wattenmeer world natural heritage site is literally on the doorstep. Explore the fascinating changing tides and take part in guided walks across the tidal flats. Sehestedt is quiet and cosy. It is worth exploring the cycle path system around Butjadingen and Stadtland, ideal also for inline skating and Nordic walking. You can also go canoeing, riding, explore the moor and the salt marsh paths. There is the Eckwarderhörne beach (ca. 20km, 20 minutes away) with the ferry for pedestrians and bikes to Wilhelmshaven (daily June to August), Tossens (ca. 18km, 18 mins.) with a 4000m² indoor pool paradise on four levels including for children with a slide, wave pool, counterflow channels, outdoor pool and whirlpool, and the Friesenstrand with a pirate adventure playground and treasure hunt. Or you can visit Burhave (ca. 18.5km) with the North Sea lagoon: a 45,000m² area with a salt water swimming lake with biological cleaning system, the finest sand and recreation, an indoor playing barn open all year round with a giant trampoline, a ball pool, minigolf, bouncy castle, go-kart track and bowling alley, or Fedderwardersiel (ca. 21km) with the Museum Nationalparkaus, the MS Wega II leisure boat, fishing boat trips, sales of fresh fish, Stollhammer Mitteldeich (ca. 16km) with a tree climbing garden up to 8 metres high with 21 stations, or Jaderberg (ca. 17km) with an animal park with about 600 animals, open all year round, a leisure park and an indoor fun park of 1800m² with a giant climbing labyrinth, trampoline and bouncy castle. It is about 45km to Bremerhaven with the zoo by the sea, maritime museum, Klimahaus and harbour tours, and about 42km to Wilhelmshaven with the aquarium, Maritime Meile etc.
The following can be provided free of charge: children’s travel bed (no bed linen), baby bath, potty and/or WC seat, highchair, as well as two bicycles. Make use of the bread rolls service. Before arrival you can order your rolls and newspaper and then pay the baker locally.
