Welcome to the Vacation Home of Nicolas & Analyn Baumann Chesa Alexandra in CH-7522 La Punt - Chamues-ch / Engadin !
The 2 1/2 room apartment with its fireplace and wooden beams radiates an unique charm, really pleasant to linger.
The Chesa Alexandra is located in a dream like, peaceful, sunny location. At the doorstep you may start countless hiking and biking trips in the whole region UPPER- ENGADIN with an outstanding offer in public transportation (bus station 5 min from the apt). How about a game of golf in Zuoz/Madulain or in Samedan?
La Punt Chamues-ch is a very child friendly village with three big playgrounds (two with BBQ areas and available split-wood all year long).
In winter you reach the famous Engadiner Marathon Cross-Country slope in 5 minutes walking. The spacious downhill Ski-Arenas of St. Moritz are within 10 minutes driving; to Celerina/Marguns or to St Moritz-Bad/Corviglia/Piz Nair and to Silvaplana & Sils with the Ski-Arenas Corvatsch & Furtchellas it takes 20 minutes, the same to Pontresina/Diavolezza/Lagalb.
At the doorsteps families with smaller kids may use the ski-lift Muesella above the Italian Restaurant with playground. The Swiss Ski School is available at the Muesella skilift. In the village, the two ice rinks offer more winter sports opportunities like ice-skating (without charge) and curling.
Wellness/Spa and Swimming-Pools (in- and outdoor) are located in St. Moritz, in Samedan, in Pontresina, in Zernez and in Scuol. In the summer season the countless lakes may offer the desired cooling experience.
Other leisure facilities: Rollerskating/Rollski
Excursion possibilities: What mountains. What lakes. What light! Whether on the 580km (360 miles) of hiking paths strewn over all the mountains or by mountain bike along 400km (250 miles) of fabulous trails: the Upper Engadin offers a superb network of paths and trails amidst an unspoilt Alpine landscape and the inspiring lake plateau. Four flow trails on the Corviglia guarantee a perfect flow. Equally popular among sports enthusiasts are the Upper Engadin lakes; kiting, sailing, windsurfing, stand up paddling – the possibilities are virtually endless. The expanse of the inspiring high-lying valley can be experienced in a particularly striking way on the two 18-hole golf courses in Samedan and Zuoz. And besides the wide range of sporting options, visitors can take advantage of the first-class cultural activities on offer, such as a visit to a museum or to one of the numerous art galleries in the various villages.
In winter, the ski areas of Corviglia, Corvatsch, Diavolezza and family friendly Zuoz invite ski and snowboard enthusiasts to revel in 350 kilometres (218 miles) of the finest powder snow. Cross-country skiers will find over 220km (137 miles) of perfectly groomed trails in the Upper Engadin and the side valleys. The winter hiking paths and cross-country ski trails on the frozen Upper Engadin lakes are characterised by their light, sunshine and space amidst inspiring Alpine scenery. Those who would like to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the snow-covered forests can explore the side valleys of Val Roseg, Val Fex or Val Bever on 150 kilometres (90 miles) of winter hiking paths. Visitors who prefer to have everything in view, meanwhile, will delight in the breathtaking vistas on the panorama hiking trails high above the lakes on Muottas Muragl.
Families can bask in the Engadin sun during a ride in a horse-drawn carriage into the Val Roseg or Val Fex, or race down the mountainside into the valley on the winding, 4.2km (2.6 mile) long toboggan run on Muottas Muragl.

Location description: La Punt Chamues-ch – the proud village at the foot of the Albula Pass
La Punt is characterised by its old patrician houses standing at the foot of the Albula Pass. The former farming village of Chamues-ch, on the other hand, enjoys a strategically favourable location at the entrance of the mysterious “valley of the chamois” – the Val Chamuera. Still today, the inhabitants are proud of their richly adorned farmhouses and magnificent patrician houses dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. And, of course, of the first-class cuisine served in the over 450-year old Hotel Gasthaus. The surrounding region invites guests to undertake varied tours by mountain bike or racing bike, on inline skates or on foot. Awaiting families are pleasant playgrounds and BBQ areas by the water. Meanwhile, idyllic cross-country ski trails, snowshoe treks and ski tours, as well as the Müsella ski lift, promise endless winter fun.
