Our country house is situated in a quiet location on the outskirts of the tranquil village of Grimburg, a town with around 500 inhabitants. Surrounded by the beech and spruce forests of the Hochwald, you have the choice between our holiday flat on the first floor or our holiday flat on the ground floor to enjoy your well-deserved holiday. Our holiday flat on the ground floor is accessible without any barriers and there are no stairs, steps or other obstacles in the flat. This makes the flat suitable for people with disabilities. The garden with terrace, which can be used by both flats, is also barrier-free. Set off on hikes on the Saar-Hunsrück Climb or the dream loops in the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park. Discover unspoilt forests in the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park. Cycle on the Ruwer-Hochwald cycle path along the route of the former railway from Hermeskeil to Trier. Or discover romantic towns and beautiful landscapes along the Moselle, Saar, Nahe and Rhine on day trips - the excellent connection to the A1 motorway offers many options... There is a spacious car park for the flats at the front and rear. A newly installed photovoltaic system and a new heat pump heating system connected to it provide the property with its own energy and heat supply and contribute to sustainability.
Both holiday flats have been completely renovated, with the holiday flat on the ground floor being completed in August 2020 and the holiday flat on the ground floor in September 2023. Both flats are furnished in a modern country house style. WLAN is available throughout the house. Freshly made-up beds and hand and shower towels for the number of people will be ready for you on arrival. At the back of the house you will find a large garden with a terrace overlooking the countryside... A large aluminium table with 6 garden chairs, a parasol, various barbecues (wood, gas, table) and 2 aluminium loungers are stored in a separate cellar room which is directly accessible to you and can be used at any time. You can also safely store bicycles and e-bikes in this room. A wooden bench and a Hollywood swing, as well as various play facilities round off our offer for the use of the garden and terrace. Pets are welcome on request (price 5,- Euro/dog/day) We look forward to your visit...

The holiday flat, newly renovated in 2023, is located on the ground floor of our Grimburg country house.

On an area of approx. 90 square metres, it offers 1 bedroom, a kitchen, a dining room with adjoining living room, a bathroom and a spacious hallway.
Large windows give the rooms a friendly and bright atmosphere and offer a view of the beautiful countryside.

Both the flat and the garden with terrace can be reached without any stairs or steps.
There are no obstacles within the living area either - it is at ground level and accessible without steps.

The large, very well-equipped kitchen invites you to prepare delicious meals for yourself and your loved ones, which you can enjoy in the dining room with a dining table for 6 people.
A small, cosy reading corner with a relaxing armchair, floor lamp and a sideboard with books invites you to relax and/or browse.
The directly adjoining living room has a flat-screen TV, DVD player, stereo system and a wide range of interesting books, games and puzzles for all ages to keep you occupied whatever the weather...
The bedroom is furnished with a double bed (200x200cm), a wardrobe and a chest of drawers with a wall mirror. The beds are freshly made, additional blankets and pillows are provided on request.

A cleaning service is available during your stay.
In the bathroom there is a flat shower cubicle, WC and washbasin combination as well as a washer-dryer.
Dogs on request - please contact us in advance.

For our animal guests we provide separate towels, a cosy blanket or a dog bed, as well as a food and drink bowl on request.
Current and appealing information about the region and events is available on a separate shelf in the living area.
A lockable storage room, e.g. for sports equipment, is available. The flat can be booked online via electronic booking systems.
