Modern apartment for 2 people in Gdynia, 3 km from the sea
This modern apartment/guest room is located in the city of Gdynia, in a pleasant and quiet district. It is situated on the ground floor of the building.
The one room apartment has a size of 16m², is well-equipped, self-contained and clean. A secure and safe apartment for 1-2 guests. The room contains a sofa bed for two people, TV, radio and Internet access. The kitchen area is equipped with a refrigerator, toaster and water heater (no stove and oven). A bathroom with bathtub is also part of the apartment.
The apartment is close to many good local shops. Just a five minute walk from the apartment the Upper Square has an active local market (six times a week) with a super supply of fruit, vegetables, fish and meat as well as freshly prepared products - including top quality bakers plus a range of local eateries and cafes. Public transport to this apartment is excellent. Nearby there is very convenient and easy access to frequent buses and local trains with connections to Gdynia, Sopot and Gdansk - the Tri-City. (Bus and electric bus tickets can be bought from the drivers – always remember to validate your ticket.) From the apartment it is a 25 minute walk to the beach in Orlowo. Orlowo is Gdynia’s most picturesque and romantic beach – a precipitous cliff, a pier, a fishing harbour, a tavern, and wicker cots on the beach – offering shelter from the wind. Dozens of Polish films have been shot on location here. Access to the pier is free. This area of the coast is uncrowded and is perfect for safe bathing and enjoyable walking as well as offering good quality cafes and restaurants. Further along the coast – to the south – is the impressive pier at Sopot and all the main facilities of that city. Along the coast to the north is the sailing centre and port of Gdynia. Gdynia is the best base for exploring Tri-City. In recent times the Tri-City region has been promoting low-processed, locally produced food and many ecological products from local farmers – this gives visitors the opportunity to try delicious and unique, top quality regional food. These food events are held twice weekly in Gdynia but in the summer there are many more such events at different locations. At the tourist information points located in town you can get maps, guides and obtain lots of useful information about this region. Tourist information is also available in printed form in the apartment.
Located in Kashubia in Eastern Pomerania, Gdingen - Gdynia is part of a conurbation with the spa town of Sopot, the city of Gdansk and suburban communities, which together form a metropolitan area called the Tricity (Trójmiasto), with a population of over a million people. Gdansk is Poland's principal seaport as well as the capital of the Pomeranian Voivodeship. The city was the birthplace of the Solidarity movement which, under the leadership of political activist Lech Walesa, played a major role in bringing an end to Communist rule across Central Europe. Every year in late July and August to Gdansk millions of tourists come from Poland and abroad to take part in the biggest outdoor event in this part of Europe, which undoubtedly is the St. Dominic's Fair.
