Traditional stone house with a terrace and garden amidst wonderful nature
The traditional Istrian stone house is in the picturesque little village of Katun in Istria, surrounded by a wonderful natural landscape.
The half of a duplex house from the year 1910 has been comprehensively renovated and the thick stone walls ensure pleasant temperatures in summer, while the wooden ceiling beams exude a warm atmosphere. The house is on two floors and can accommodate up to eight people. The first floor has a spacious and air-conditioned kitchen, which is fully-equipped with all the necessary appliances, as well as a big dining table with chairs. Spiral stairs lead up to the second floor with an air-conditioned living room, with a corner sofa that also serves as a sofa bed for two people, and satellite TV. Each floor has a bathroom with a shower. A second TV set and free wireless Internet access are available.
The terrace has garden furniture and a grill. There is also a separate courtyard. Two parking spaces are available.
The ground floor has a wine and olive cellar, which is closed off and is not to be used by guests. However, the owner is happy to show you around it. The owners do not live on site, but in a little hut next door and are happy to assist with any queries.
The surrounding landscape features many vineyards, olive groves and forests. For cycling enthusiasts there is a cycle path that takes you to many interesting corners of Istria. There are also good connections to the nearby towns of Porec, Motovun and Rovinj, as well as other places of historical interest.
