“Blanton na Cetini is a small village with no sign of tourism which made us feel like we were living alongside the locals of this picturesque village. The river is a 5 minute drive away, or 20 minute walk, and although the water is cold, you have to paddle if not swim in it just for the experience! A car is essential as there isn’t anywhere nearby, other than a small supermarket and the river with a restaurant, within walking distance. We did the 2.5hr drive to Dubrovnik which is a must. The scenery makes the journey seem much shorter and we stopped at a small village restaurant by the sea for lunch. Be sure to take your passports with you as you travel through part of Bosnia, which took us by surprise, but was all part of the adventure!! We also went to Plitvice lakes National Park. Another must despite the 2.5hr drive. Stunning lakes and waterfalls, though the temperature is much cooler and it rained all day which is common. Just go prepared with warm waterproofs. We visited several towns nearby and all had so much history and charm about them. There are plenty of guides in the villa, of which English versions were left out for us. If you want a quiet, relaxing Croatian village experience with the comfort of a 5 star villa then this is for you.”
