    “Orte ligt onder de driehoek van de provincies Toscane, Lazio en Umbrië. Orte is niet toeristisch, er is weinig te beleven. Tóch, als men interesse heeft in de historie kan men een leuke namiddag hebben in het plaatsje. Wij hebben Orte vooral gekozen voor de rust en als uitvalsbasis naar Rome (2 dagen in deze prachtige 'eeuwige' stad, daarbij nog niet alles gezien!). Treinstation ligt in Orte Scalo met ruime parkeergelegenheid achter het station. Lokale bevolking is eenvoudig, spreekt geen Engels, maar zijn erg vriendelijk. Orte is geen rijke gemeente. Alles is nogal gedateerd. Dit geldt overigens ook voor meerdere plaatsen in Italië.”
