Unser 300-jähriges Sandstein-Bauernhaus liegt an ruhiger, aussichtsreicher Lage mit Blick auf die Stadt Burgdorf und den Jura. Wir vermieten im 2. Stock eine 31/2-Zimmer-Wohnung mit Wohnküche. Unsere Hauptbetriebszweige sind Milchwirtschaft und Ackerbau. Auch viele Hochstammbäume brägen das Landschaftsbild um den Hof. Gerne dürfen die Feriengäste bei der täglichen Stallarbeit über die Schultern schauen und auch bei der Fütterung der Tiere mithelfen. 

Unser Hof ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Velotouren ins Emmental. Die Herzoute und der Jakobsweg führen durch Burgdorf. Weitere Aktivitäten rund um Burgdorf: Baden in der Emme, im Hallenbad oder im Freibad Burgdorf, einen Besuch im Schloss Burgdorf, Minigolf in Burgdorf und Golfspielen in Oberburg, Schaukäserei Affoltern, «Schlafen im Stroh».

    “Positiv: Les propriétaires sont très gentils et accueillants. Madame Elisabeth MATHYS est particulièrement attentive à ce tout se passe bien. Elle déborde d'énergie.
    Merci Negativ: On pourrait dire qu'il manque une petite terrasse puisque le logement se trouve à l'étage, mais comme on peut profiter de la terrasse et du jardin dans la cours, tout est correcte.”

    “We spent a week at the holiday apartment located on the first floor of a 300 year old farmhouse, directly above the farmer’s residence. The farmer’s wife explained the history behind the residence which I found very fascinating. She was clearly very proud of her farm! The property was simple but clean and very functional. Although we were not given a key, we felt that our property was safe as we were the only people occupying the building and anyone entering would have had to walk through the farmer’s corridor and up two flights of steps. The farm is located in quiet, rural surroundings and the apartment donned a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside and the town of Burgdorf which is 30 minutes’ walk away. There is a large, open-air swimming pool, suitable for all ages within walking distance as well as a miniature golf course. For winter visitors there is also an open air ice-ring within a short driving distance.
    We were made very welcome on the farm and were offered free milk daily. There are opportunities to help with farming activities as well as rides on horses and donkeys. Unfortunately we were unable to take part, as we were visiting family. Being a working farm, there were the usual noises (and smells) from the animals but that is to be expected! All in all we would warmly recommend a stay if you enjoy the peace of country living!”

Restaurant: Landgasthof Sommerhaus - Ist ein bisschen ausserhalb von Burgdorf. Gutes Essen und schön gelegen.     “Wir haben uns schon für das kommende Jahr verabredet! Positiv: Gefallen hat uns sehr der herzliche Empfang, die wunderschöne Aussicht, die Möglichkeit jederzeit Milch zu bekommen, ebenso die Hofführung für die Kinder.”
