Many good swimming and fishing lakes are nearby, and you can pick berries and mushrooms in the surrounding forest. Finnskogsleden, a long hiking trail, is nearby and offers many beautiful hiking moments. To Charlottenberg with restaurants and shopping facilities it is 20 minutes by car and you can also get to the Norwegian border in this time. Nice excursion destinations nearby are Magnor glassworks, Morokulien ansland peace park and the town of Arvika.
