Luxury Ground Floor Apartment

The property is located in Torquay part of what has become known as The English Riviera. Torquay sits on Tor Bay which provides a sheltered seaside experience. Torquay is the largest of the English Riviera towns and is a vibrant and busy resort town which provides visitors with an all year round experience. There are dozens of attractions and scores of wonderful bars and restaurants.

The property is surrounded by nearly three quarters of an acre of gardens and guests have access to most of this space. The Rose Garden at the side of the property is free for all to use as is the large lower garden at the back of the property. There is a car park at the front of the property and there is parking for all guests here.

The apartment is on the ground floor of the property and overlooks the Rose Garden at the side of the building. It features an incredible living space formed from one of the original reception rooms of the villa. This space has enormous floor to ceiling windows in a bay. There is a seating area with sofa and arm chair as well as a dining area overlooking the garden. The room has a fire place with electric flame effect fire for cosy nights in. The apartment has a compact but modern and well equipped kitchen and there is a bathroom with over sized shower that has grab rails for guest who might need to steady themselves. There is also a shower seat. There is also a wonderful tranquil bedroom with a king sized bed (UK size 5 foot width). This room also overlooks the garden at the side of the property.

Muntham is in the Wellswood area of Torquay. This is a prosperous leafy area of the town which has at its heart Ilsham Road where there are a whole host of amenities such as a pub, post office, church, pharmacy, florist, delicatessen and numerous other independent businesses. This area is known by locals as Wellswood Village. Close by (and only a ten minute walk from Muntham are the World famous Kent's Cavern - prehistoric caves.

Muntham is a beautiful Victorian house that has survived the years in tact and with most of its stunning original features. It is a tranquil and restful place and makes an ideal base from which to explore The English Riviera and other parts of south Devon and the south west of England.
