Cosy holiday apartment with a garden and terrace, particularly suitable for bikers
This holiday house is in Schleiden, in the Oberhausen area very close to the Eifel National Park. Oberhausen is a little villagein an idyllic and quiet location in the Schleiden Valley, with just 980 inhabitants.
The freshly renovated holiday house provides everything you need for a pleasant stay. It is fully-furnished and equipped. The entrance area leads to the upper and the lower apartment. The latter has two bedrooms with big double beds and a wardrobe. A children’s bed and a highchair are also available. Four adults and a small child can therefore be accommodated. The living room-kitchen contains a big kitchen with all the necessary appliances (dishwasher, microwave, ceramic hob with an oven, toaster, kettle, coffee machine), as well as pans, crockery and cutlery. The dining table can be extended, so that four people can dine together comfortably. The lounge corner has a two-seater and a three-seater sofa, a coffee table, satellite TV and a stereo system (CD, radio, tape). The shower room is accessed from the hallway and is white and very light, with two windows and a hairdryer in the cupboard. The cellar with a separate entrance is also available for use.
The outdoor area of the holiday house has a garden with a lawn and garden furniture, a parasol and a grill. It is a lovely place to end the day in summer.
The holiday house especially meets the requirements of cyclists, mountain bikers and hikers. There is a room for storing bicycles and soon in an adjoining room there will be a stand for maintaining or repairing bicycles. A washing machine and dryer are available for use.
The northern Eifel is superb for cycling, both for family trips with children and for ambitious sportspeople with road and mountain bikes. There are flat tours in the valley, also suitable for children, as well as extreme and long tours at greater altitude for fit bikers. The host can provide advice about tours, including GPS routes. Please request these in advance. The Oberhausen area is 3km from the centre of the town of Schleiden which has a range of infrastructures, with shops, a hospital, doctors, offices, petrol stations, and of course gastronomy, from snack bars to starred restaurants. A special feature of the region is the Eifel National Park, which is definitely worth visiting. The neighbouring town of Hellenthal has a wild animal park, well-known especially for its birds of prey. It is a great experience for the whole family.
