Comfortable House in Grimersum with Garden, Barbecue and Terrace and Wonderful View

This is a detached house in quiet surroundings.

The lovely terrace is a dream for guests looking for peace and quiet. The great location right by the canal is a paradise for fishing enthusiasts and nature lovers. You can enjoy a wonderful view of meadows and fields with romantic sunsets. Families with pets will also enjoy it here. There are two car parking spaces by the house. The canal bordering the site directly has a connection to Greestiel and Emden, by boat in summer and partly on skates in winter. A rowing boat and a canoe are available for a fee. A pet is allowed on request.

The comfortable house has a lovely living and dining room on the ground floor with a fireplace stove and a fully-equipped kitchen with a ceramic hob, coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, toaster, kettle, egg boiler, mixer etc. It also has a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with a shower and WC. There is a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer. The upper floor comprises two further bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds, as well as a shower room with a WC and a little storage room.

There is a lovely public playground just a few steps away, so children can even go there alone. Moin! This brief greeting can be heard at any time of day. Typical East Frisian. It is just a few minutes from the house to the charmingly restored fisherman’s houses from the last century. You can go on many trips in the area by bike, car or boat, for an interesting stay in Grimersum. Grimersum is about 5km from Greetsiel and 15km from Norddeich and Emden. The dry beach in Upleward is also five kilometres away. The little village, with a prettily preserved village character, is among the villages that were used in the Middle Ages as trading places along the shore for Frisian farming traders. Parts of the castle site with remains of tombs have been preserved and can be visited along a pathway. There are shops, restaurants in the neighbouring village of Wirdum, an indoor pool, tennis, mini golf etc in Greetsiel. The fishing village of Greetsiel offers its guests Frisian originality and a leisurely atmosphere.

    Kompetente Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort, die sich um alles kümmert. Freizeit: Paddeln auf dem Siel hinter dem Haus. (Paddelboot ist vorhanden).
    Eine Fahrt mit dem Krabbenkutter ab Greetsiel ins Wattenmeer.
    Fahrradtour nach Emden und zum Leuchtturm in Campen.
    Tagesausflug zur Insel Juist.”

    “Ein sehr schönes Haus in toller Lage direkt am Siel! Der Wohn- und Essbereich ist geräumig und funktional eingerichtet. Die Einrichtung ist eher rustikal, die Möbel und Geräte sind heil und in einem guten Zustand. Wir haben uns im Haus sehr wohl gefühlt und haben uns gut erholt. Bei dem teils sehr wechselhaftem Wetter war der zweite Fernseher sehr praktisch ;-)
    Direkt vom eigenen Steg aus konnten wir Fischreiher, Blessrallen, Nutrias usw. beobachten. Das vorhandene Kanu haben wir viel genutzt. Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr ruhig. Das Nachbarhaus gehört demselben Vermieter. Achtung Hundebesitzer: Das Grundstück ist nicht eingezäunt!

    Mückenschutz sollte nicht vergessen werden: selbst in den Schlafzimmern gibt es keinen Insektenschutz an den Fenstern.
    Wie bereits andere Gäste geschrieben haben, wären neue Matratzen wohl bald mal fällig. Es war uns bei Buchung natürlich bekannt, dass es kein WLAN gibt. Grundsätzlich kein Problem. Angesichts des sehr schwachen Mobilfunknetzes (D- Netz) sollte sich der Vermieter jedoch überlegen, ob das noch lange zeitgemäß ist. Wir konnten über das Smartphone nicht mal das Wetter checken.”

    “Zu den verbesserungswürdigen Punkten kann ich nachvollziehen. Ein Zaun würde das Gesamtbild der Ferienhäuser einschränken und separieren. Dies ist nicht in unserem Sinne und daher zwischen den beiden Ferienhäusern nicht gewünscht. Zu dem Punkt der auswechselbaren Matratzen habe ich im Kalender und auf das Kaufdatum der letzten Matratzen geschaut und festgestellt das bisher 300 Übernachtungen seit dem Kauf vergangen sind. Daher schließe ich die Abnutzung der Matratzen aus, nehme aber an das einige Gäste lieber harte als weiche Liegeflächenbervorzugen. Zum Thema WLAN und Internet besteht bereits Seits längerer Zeit eine Anfrage als auch Beschwerde bei der Bundesnetzagentur da wir sehr gerne WLAN und somit schnelleres Internet bereitstellen möchten. Darf man der Politik Glauben schenken, so soll ja 2018 flächendeckend Breitband Internet zur Verfügung stehen. Und zum letzten Punkt des stockenden DVD Players werden wir uns der Sache annehmen und das Gerät austauschen sobald wir die Prüfung durchgeführt haben.”
