    “El barrio más bien es humilde pero tienes cerca varios supermercados, bares, peluquerías y dos pasos tienes el centro de la Ciudad y el paseo de la Playa de las Canteras, se puede ir caminando porque todo queda muy cerca.”

    “Las Palmas is a beautiful city with a lot of variety. There is a huge beach, good shopping and great bars and restaurants. The old town is lovely.

    We used the house as a base to explore other parts of the island too - we're not bothered about beaches, so we went inland to the mountains which were gorgeous in spring, walked to Tejeda and also visited Agaete and Puerto las Nieves where we had a fantastic, cheap seafood lunch on the harbour.”

    “Flera shoppingcenter för den som är intresserad av det, nära till strand och kvarteren myllrar av fik, restauranger och olika butiker. Vi hyrde mountainbike´s under våra 14 dagar hos Bike Station Las-Palmas-24.com. Väldigt praktiskt med elcykel när man ska ta sig upp och ner för alla backar när man kommer utanför själva city. Bilisterna var oerhört vänliga och hänsynstagande mot gående och cyklister.
    Det finns flera museer vid gamla stan, tekniskt museum vid Park Cantera och ett akvarium. Inte långt bort från Las Palmas finns en slocknad vulkan, det besöket gav också en jättefin utsikt över staden och när dagen gled över till kväll var det magiskt med alla ljus.
    För stick/virk/tygintreserade kan vi tipsa om butiken El Palacio de las Lanas
    som ligger påJuan Ramon Jimenez, 43 loc.6 .
