"With a view to the mountains all around. Simply divine."

You decided! And after the announcement in July, the time had finally arrived: Berchtesgaden received the 2013 atraveo prize for the best holiday resort in Germany.
 

The presentation took place last Friday at the "Tour Natur" fair in Düsseldorf. Berchtesgaden‘s Mayor Franz Rasp accepted the award from the hands of atraveo’s Managing Director Dirk Froelje at the Berchtesgaden National Park exhibition stand, and was particularly pleased that the prize was awarded on the basis of the submitted customer reviews.

As our regular customers know: with atraveo, you are not only able submit reviews of the holiday homes that you booked, but also of the holiday resort which you visited. From this we calculate which place has the best ratings on average each year. This time Berchtesgaden came out on top here with 4.71 out of a maximum of five possible points. After the prize regularly going to places on the German Baltic sea coast in previous years, it ended up in the mountains of Bavaria this year.

The fact that atraveo customers particularly like Berchtesgaden is also reflected in the comments, which were submitted along with the ratings:

"Located in very, very nice scenery! With a view to the mountains all around. Simply divine." wrote one satisfied holidaymaker, for example. And another declared with regard to the attractions and recreational facilities around Berchtesgaden: "There are possibilities for every season."

In fact, the beautiful scenery and the many local possibilities are primarily what holidaymakers appreciate about Berchtesgaden. During summer, for example, hiking or mountain biking are on the agenda, while fun on the pistes of the Berchtesgaden ski resorts is scheduled for winter. In addition, facilities such as the Watzmann Therme (thermal spa), the salt mine or the many museums provide ways to pass the time. And other places in the Berchtesdagen region such as Ramsau or Schoenau am Koenigssee also know to how to win you over, and have certainly played their part in Berchtesgaden winning the prize for the best resort in Germany.
